Trio Juice
Kym purling is regarded as the most exciting pianist playing Modern Jazz that Adelaide has produced in a long while. Along with James Clarke on bass and Ben Riley on drums they swung 'em from the rafters at Tapas, The Kent Town Hotel and any other venue in town that took and presented good Jazz. Kym is inventive, enegetic and melodic regarded as a major local talent that is well on the way to becoming an international name. Kym has gone on to study in Las Vegas and tours back to Australia with a variety of American ensembles. Trio Juice was recorded at Rivetts studio over two sessions James Clarke playing bass and engineering. At the release of the Trio Juice CD they got Catherine Lambert to get up for a few songs which led to them accompanying her on her debut CD.

Reviews For Trio Juice
Clean, pleasant jazz with a colorful flourish from Adelaide pianist Purling, with generous dollops of Gershwin tossed in among originals. Melodic and gently swinging, he plays it straight - although Trio Juice has a powerful, driving sound which may well signal this group's path forward.
